Adding New Windows Based Applications to VCL

Most remote access to Windows based applications is provided through Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) that runs on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. AVD images are maintained similarly to computing lab images in that they have many applications installed in a single image and are maintained by IT staff rather than on-prem VCL images that have only a few applications in each image and are maintained by lots of people including IT staff, course instructors, and some end users. There are several AVD images that are being maintained by IT staff across campus.

If you need an application installed in an AVD image, please fill out the AVD application request form.
