Remote access to Windows based applications is provided through Microsoft’s Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) service that runs on their Azure cloud platform. WVD images are maintained similarly to computing lab images in that they have many applications installed in a single image and are maintained by IT staff rather than traditional VCL images that have only a few applications in each image and are maintained by lots of people including IT staff, course instructors, and some end users. There are several WVD images that are being maintained by IT staff across campus.
If you need an application installed in a WVD image, please fill out the WVD application request form.
